Terms of Service
Terms governing access to and use of the Site Robotics website and related services.
About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Site Robotics website at siterobotics.co.uk, and, where applicable, our related services, including enquiries, pilot discussions and deployments of our robots and platform (together, the "Services"). By accessing the website or engaging with us about a pilot or deployment, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where relevant, the organisation you represent.
Where Site Robotics provides a robot, platform or related service to a customer under a separate signed agreement — for example, a pilot agreement or a services contract — the terms of that agreement take priority over these Terms for anything they specifically cover. These Terms continue to apply to anything that agreement does not address, and to use of the website generally.
Our website and services
Our website provides information about Site Robotics, our robots, our platform and how to get in touch with us. It is intended for business and professional use rather than consumer use. Specific commercial services, including robot pilots and deployments, are provided separately under a signed agreement with the relevant customer, which will set out matters such as pricing, service levels, data handling and the scope of work in more detail than this website.
Eligibility and authority
You must have the authority to agree to these Terms, whether on your own behalf or on behalf of an organisation you represent. By using the website or contacting us about a pilot or deployment on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and to make enquiries or requests that may lead to a commercial relationship.
Enquiries and pilot discussions
Submitting a contact form, requesting a pilot, or booking a call with us is an enquiry, not a binding commitment on either side. No pilot, deployment or purchase is agreed until it is confirmed in writing, typically through a signed pilot agreement or services contract that sets out scope, pricing, timeline and responsibilities. Details discussed informally during early conversations, including illustrative timelines or indicative capabilities, are not binding until reflected in that written agreement.
Robotics pilots and deployments
Where a pilot or deployment goes ahead, Site Robotics' robots and platform are provided and operated in line with the scope agreed with the relevant customer. Robotics deployments may involve autonomous movement, cameras, LiDAR, mapping, communications, software, and other sensors, configured for the customer's site and use case.
The performance of a pilot or deployment can depend on a range of factors specific to the site and environment, including:
- site layout and terrain;
- lighting conditions;
- connectivity;
- weather and environmental conditions;
- obstacles and changes to the site during the deployment;
- the sensor configuration agreed for that deployment;
- existing site infrastructure; and
- the customer's own requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
Because of these factors, the specific configuration, coverage and performance of a pilot or deployment are confirmed with each customer individually, and are not guaranteed by general statements on this website.
Human responsibility
Site Robotics technology is designed to identify, classify, record, report and flag information observed on a site, to support the people responsible for that site. It is not designed or intended to independently detain or confront people, physically intervene in a security incident, perform repairs, make engineering decisions, provide emergency response, or guarantee that a site is safe or secure.
Decisions and actions taken in response to information reported by our robots or platform, including how to respond to a flagged event or incident, remain the responsibility of the customer and their personnel, or of the relevant emergency services where appropriate. This reflects our approach: autonomy where it earns its place, and people where judgement matters.
Acceptable use
When using our website or engaging with our Services, you agree not to:
- use the website or Services for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, robots, platform or data;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of the website, platform or any robot;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of our software, except to the extent permitted by law;
- misrepresent your identity or authority, or impersonate any person or organisation; or
- use automated means to scrape, copy or extract content from the website other than standard search-engine indexing.
Account and access security
Where we provide access to our platform, a customer portal, or similar systems as part of a pilot or deployment, the customer and their authorised users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activity that occurs under their account. You should notify us promptly at support@siterobotics.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
Customer and user information
Personal information you provide to us, including through enquiries, contact forms or during a pilot or deployment, is handled in line with our Privacy section below and our Privacy Notice. Business and technical information shared with us in connection with a pilot or deployment, such as site plans or operational requirements, is used to plan, deliver and support that pilot or deployment, and is treated as confidential where the customer identifies it as such, in line with the confidentiality terms of the relevant agreement.
Site imagery, video and sensor data
As explained in Robotics pilots and deployments above, our robots may capture imagery, video, LiDAR and other sensor data while operating on a customer's site. The ownership, use, retention and access arrangements for this data are set out in the agreement with the relevant customer.
Individuals present on or near a site during a pilot or deployment may incidentally appear in this data, in the same way they might on conventional CCTV; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information captured in this way, including the distinction between Site Robotics acting as a processor for a customer and, in limited circumstances, as a controller in its own right.
Intellectual property
The Site Robotics name, logo, website content, robot and platform software, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Site Robotics and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as needed to view and use the website normally, or as expressly agreed in a separate written agreement, nothing in these Terms grants you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property.
Feedback
If you give us feedback, suggestions or ideas about our website, robots, platform or services, you agree that we may use that feedback freely, without any obligation to you, to improve our products and services, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing.
Third-party products and services
Our website and platform may reference or integrate with third-party products and services, such as video conferencing tools or hosting providers. We are not responsible for the availability, content or practices of third-party products and services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites for convenience or reference. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those websites. Including a link does not imply endorsement.
Website availability
We aim to keep our website available and functioning correctly, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the website for maintenance, updates, security reasons, or other operational reasons, and we will aim to keep any disruption to a reasonable minimum.
Product information and accuracy
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date, but website materials may describe current functionality, planned functionality, development-stage configurations, illustrative imagery, or optional equipment, and are provided for general information only. Descriptions and imagery on this website do not constitute a warranty or specification of any particular robot, platform or deployment.
Specific commercial capabilities, configurations and performance should be confirmed separately with us before you rely on them for a deployment, purchasing or investment decision.
No professional advice
Content on our website is provided for general information about Site Robotics and our approach to autonomous site monitoring, and does not constitute security, safety, legal, engineering or other professional advice. You should seek appropriate professional advice before making decisions based on information from our website.
Warranties
Except as expressly set out in a separate signed agreement with us, our website and any general information provided on it are made available on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Specific warranties relating to a pilot, deployment or purchase of our Services, where given, are set out in the relevant signed agreement with the customer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Site Robotics will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business or data, arising from use of our website or general reliance on information contained on it.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Liability arising from a specific pilot, deployment or commercial engagement is governed by the limitation of liability terms in the relevant signed agreement with the customer, which take priority over this section for that engagement.
Indemnity
Where you use our website or Services in a way that breaches these Terms, or misuse information or access provided to you, you agree to indemnify Site Robotics against reasonable losses, costs and claims arising directly from that breach or misuse, except to the extent caused by our own breach, negligence or wrongdoing. Any indemnity obligations specific to a pilot or deployment are set out in the relevant signed agreement.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access to our website or platform where reasonably necessary — for example, to address a security concern, a suspected breach of these Terms, or maintenance requirements. Termination or suspension of a specific pilot, deployment or services agreement is governed by the terms of that agreement. We will aim to give reasonable notice where practical, except where immediate action is needed to protect our systems, data, or other users.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our website, services, or legal requirements. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised Terms; for an active pilot or deployment, any changes to the commercial terms are handled through the relevant signed agreement rather than through this page.
Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, including through the website and during robotics pilots and deployments. It forms part of these Terms by reference.
You can read it here: Privacy Notice.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protections you may be entitled to under the law of the country in which you are based, where those protections apply and cannot lawfully be excluded.
Resolving disputes
If a disagreement arises, we would welcome the opportunity to resolve it directly wherever possible — please contact us at support@siterobotics.co.uk in the first instance. Formal disputes relating to a specific pilot, deployment or services agreement are handled in line with the dispute resolution terms of that agreement, where one exists.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with any signed agreement covering a specific pilot, deployment or services engagement, and our Privacy Notice, represent the entire understanding between you and Site Robotics regarding use of the website, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
A failure by us to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a reorganisation, merger or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
